The "Rap Battle" page has become by far the most popular page
on my website. Many of you arrive here when searching the internet
for more traditional rap battles. I suspect that for many of
you, my page is a complete mystery.
I'll try to explain. This website consists of screenshots taken
in the virtual world "There". For those who do not know, a virtual
world is a computer generated world that people from around
the world access via the internet to socialize, be with friends,
or play games. Other virtual worlds you may have heard of are
"Second Life", "The Sims Online", and "Everquest". Some virtual
worlds are games where people take roles and try to win. Others,
like "There", are worlds much like our physical world. but where
people can run a business, play, and hang out with new friends
from around the world..
After Eminem's film "8 Mile" came out in 2003, people in "There"
decided to hold their own rap battle. This is what you see on
my Rap Battle page. Every character you see is the computer
representation of someone sitting at a computer somewhere in
the real world, controlling the actions of his/her character,
and typing on a keyboard the words the character is saying.
